Connecting with Nature - Earth Day
Continuing to welcome the renewal of Spring into our lives, this month we'll focus on connecting to Nature. I invite you to create opportunities to increase and enhance your time in Nature. Can you go for a walk or run or bike ride outside? Even 15 minutes spent in natural surroundings can alter your emotional well-being and your physical stress levels. If you can't get outside, can you fill your vision with the beauty of Nature, watch a program or Youtube channel that shares with you the amazing natural world that you can't physically get to spend time in. Photos of Waterfalls, Ocean Waves, Trees, Birds, Flowers, Plants, Lakes, Mountains, Desert Rocks...choose your favorite and find some to look at.
Daylight savings time gives us more hours of daylight and the weather warms to invite us outside, can you exercise outside, or start some gardening, April is a good month to get your hands in some dirt. Your internal state is reflected in your outward state. Do you still have some cleaning and clearing to do from last month, take care of that now, so that you have a clear slate to start a new project, with renewed energy. Your on-going self-care routine is also key to carrying on the renewal of Spring. For regular movement of the BodyMind, join me for Yoga, EK, Tai Chi, or get out and do your favorite activities. Receiving regular massage/bodywork can be really helpful to stay in-touch with your BodyMind. Going within for Mediation daily, perhaps in a place of natural beauty renews your Spirit.
